On December 19, the Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company inaugurated the expansion of its Radial truck tire manufacturing plant, raising total production capacity to one million tires per year.
The project is located at Lot G on Ta Quang Buu Street in Hai Van Ward, Da Nang, covering an area of 109,632 square meters.
Classified as a Group B, Grade II chemical industrial facility, the plant has a designed service life of 50 years, reflecting its role as a long-term industrial anchor for the city.
The total investment is valued at approximately US$ 36 million, with more than USD 22 million allocated to machinery and advanced production equipment.
The expansion includes the construction of a new mixing workshop and a circulating cooling water station, along with the renovation and upgrading of technical infrastructure at the existing Radial and Bias tire workshops.
These upgrades support the installation of additional equipment and help optimize production efficiency across the manufacturing lines.
Construction began on June 8, 2023, and the project was completed and put into operation on June 27, 2025.
A notable feature of the project is its hybrid management model, combining internal concurrent management with the hiring of a dedicated professional operations director.
This approach maximizes internal resources while enhancing flexibility, accountability and efficiency in both project delivery and ongoing operations.
Once fully operational, the expanded plant is expected to create nearly 300 stable jobs, contributing to local employment and income stability.
It is also projected to strengthen the company’s revenue base, improve business performance, and generate positive spillover effects for Da Nang’s budget and socio-economic development.
At the inauguration ceremony, Thai Ngoc Trung, Deputy Head of the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority, emphasized that the project aligns with the city’s strategy to develop industrial processing and manufacturing in greater depth.
